Jacob's Africa Digital Portrait at Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.

Searcher, meteorologist, investigator, geographer, explorer, soldier, artist, cartographer, naturalist and royal observer on positive manner who made drawings in close analogy between human's organism and nature in total.
Robert Jacob Gordon(1743 Doesburg,Gelderland-1795 Cape Town) he was not unconscious of his observations, discoveries and especially about the typical nature's attribute which behave with intelligence but without conscience as for example its behaviour with heeling of wounds,soldering of the bones and in generally phenomena of an favorable reaction of organism against diseases and nature's automatic influence without any technical os scientific intervention. Is this way Gordon's drawings of men, women and animals are so healthy in a so 'wild' surrounding?

Robert Jacob Gordon made drawings of flourishing and healthy women, men and animals in a primitive surrounding belonging to a very simple society in South Africa- as everything was from the earliest period of human life-and his significant art discovering forms, figures and shapes from an other world..

The 18th-century Dutch explorer documented South Africa's inhabitants, flora and fauna in more than 450 detailed drawings are to see at 'Rijksmuseum 18th-century South Africa' through Comprehensive Digital Portrait.

The 18th century Dutch explorer who studied in the humanities he served (1572-1782) the Scots Brigade and later joined the Dutch East India Company commanding the Cape garrison(1780-1795).
He noted down in his diaries and letters everything of his expeditions incude 8-meter long panoramas, that form part of the collection at The Rijksmuseum.

as the Rijksmuseum notices 'all of Gordon's diaries and drawings are reunited for the first time and thus present a comprehensive view of 18th-century South Africa.
Through visitors are given a complete portrait of what Gordon encountered and where.
The site enables also visitors to zoom in on the 18th century maps Gordon created alongside contemporary South Africa via Google Maps.

Gordon recorded his discoveries in an 'Atlas', which show exactly how the creator represented South Africa, the flora and fauna and its people during four far-reaching expeditions to the inside part of the land.
'As a representative of the European Enlightenment' explain the experts of The Rijksmuseum ' he poured his knowledge and expertise into the creation of 'Great Map' his compendium which remained unfinished due to his suicide in 1795 post the British invasion.

Marc Chagall's Calvary in The Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam

Marc Chagall's masterpiece 'Calvery',1912 is a depiction of his super reality, alogical, and  irrational imagination as Guillaume Apollinaire refer to him as a ' surrealist' and as Andre Breton call also him the 'Pope of Surrealism'.

Frans' Post 34 unknown drawings at The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. The Netherlands.

Spectacular discovery of 17th century Golden Age the drawings by Frans Post(1612-1680) which are on display at The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam from 7 October 2016 to 8 January.
Under the title 'Frans Post.Animals in Brazil' the exhibition present 34 unrecognized for centuries artworks by Frans Post from Haarlem-The Netherlands-which were discovered in the Noord-Holland Archief, Haarlem,created by Frans Post in the years 1637-1644 when he worked in Brazil.
The first European artist who painted landscapes and therefore of South Africa but as we know now also animals in Brazil, Frans Post contemporary of Frans Hall traveled in 1636 to Dutch Brazil at the invitation of Johan Maurits van Nassau-Siegen.
